Description

Rift Valley Academy (RVA) is a Christian boarding school perched on the slopes of the Great Rift Valley escarpment at Kijabe in Kiambu County. Founded in 1906 by Africa Inland Mission, it is one of the oldest schools in Kenya and exists mainly to educate the children of missionary families serving across Africa, so that their parents can focus on their work.

The school has more than 500 students from kindergarten through to grade 12 and follows an American-style college-preparatory curriculum, with many graduates going on to universities in North America and elsewhere. Life on campus combines academics with chapel, music, drama and a strong sports programme including rugby, basketball and athletics, set against dramatic views of the valley floor.

Admissions, fees and the business office can be reached through the school's main lines and email. Find out more on the Rift Valley Academy website.
