Almanara Luxury Resort – Beach Resort in Diani

Almanara Luxury Resort is a privately owned retreat on the white sands of Diani Beach, south of Mombasa. The Giovando family began developing the property in 2005 and opened it in 2007 with six exclusive villas, blending contemporary luxury with traditional African character.

The resort now offers three types of stay. The Garden Villas each have three air-conditioned en-suite double bedrooms, an open-plan living and dining area and a covered veranda, with a personal chef and maid. Casa Bella, opened in 2015, is a boutique hotel with three Ocean View Rooms and two Ocean View Suites finished in Italian marble and mosaic. The Residence by Almanara, added in 2024, comprises three beachfront villas.

A central swimming pool has a sunken pool bar, and Sails Beach Bar & Restaurant serves beachfront meals. The resort is close to the Shimba Hills National Reserve for day trips.
