Sasini PLC – Agribusiness Company in Nairobi

Sasini PLC is one of the oldest companies listed on the Nairobi Securities Exchange. Its history began in 1952, when it was incorporated as Doondu Estates Ltd with a single coffee farm in Central Kenya, and it has since grown into a diversified agribusiness.

Tea operations cover growing, processing, warehousing and marketing of bulk tea through the Mombasa auction and direct sales overseas. Four large tea estates covering 1,463 hectares lie in the highlands west of the Rift Valley around Sotik and Nyamira, served by the Kipkebe and Keritor CTC factories. The company also runs coffee, macadamia nut processing in an export processing zone in Kiambu County, and avocado operations.

Its retail division sells Sasini tea and coffee through major outlets across Kenya.
