Giraffe Manor – Boutique Hotel in Karen

Giraffe Manor is a boutique hotel set in indigenous forest in Karen and Langata, Nairobi. Built in the 1930s, it is known worldwide for the herd of Rothschild’s giraffes that may visit guest rooms and terraces at breakfast and tea time.

The manor and adjoining garden suites sit about 40 minutes from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. Stays include laundry service, free Wi-Fi and entry to the neighbouring AFEW Giraffe Centre. Guests can also use The Retreat, with a swimming pool, spa treatments, gym and Daisy’s Café.

Days are unhurried: high tea on the lawn, walks on the grounds, and fine dining in the evenings. The Safari Collection also runs camps elsewhere in Kenya, so the manor often anchors a longer safari.
