Our client is an event and Entertainment Company that seeks to hire an experienced accountant to manage their financial operations.
Role Summary
As an accountant, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the financial health of the organization. You will develop and implement financial strategies to achieve business goals and maximize profitability. You will also manage daily accounting operations, maintain accurate financial records, and provide financial analysis to inform business decisions.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day accounting operations of the organization, which includes accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations. You will also be tasked with preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, ensuring the accuracy and completeness of financial information. Additionally, you will monitor cash flow and provide regular reporting on financial performance. You will prepare and present financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements to senior management.
You will ensure that financial records are maintained in compliance with financial law, regulations and accounting standards, and tax regulations. You will provide financial analysis and support to various departments as needed, establish and maintain internal control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information. You will maintain relationships with external auditors, tax consultants, and other financial professionals. Additionally, you will collaborate with other departments, such as marketing and operations, to ensure accurate and timely finance reporting. You will oversee financial planning and analysis, budgeting, and forecasting, and identify and implement cost-saving measures and revenue-generating opportunities.
Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in finance/accounting or a related field and a minimum of 3 years of experience in a finance or accounting role. You should have proven experience in managing financial operations, including budgeting and forecasting. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and financial reporting requirements is essential. You should be proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial software, have excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong interpersonal and communication skills, and hold a CPA (K) designation.
