Our company is seeking an experienced auto mechatronic engineer/technician to join our team in maintaining and repairing vehicles in our workshop. The ideal candidate should possess a diploma in auto mechanic, have a deep understanding of electrical and mechanical diagnostics, and be highly motivated to resolve mechatronic issues.
As an auto mechatronic engineer/technician, you will report to the Workshop Supervisor and work in a creative and fast-paced environment supporting day-to-day workshop operations. Your responsibilities will include troubleshooting and diagnosing mechatronic issues, conducting mechanical diagnosis, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, conducting repairs for maximum reliability, conducting routine maintenance work, building and assembling machines or mechanical components, scheduling future maintenance sessions, providing accurate estimates for repair or maintenance jobs, keeping logs on work and issues using our database, maintaining equipment and tools in good condition, and performing other duties as assigned.
The successful candidate should have at least 5 years of experience in the automotive industry with a focus on mechatronic systems, familiarity with industry regulations and standards for mechatronic systems, excellent problem-solving skills, ability to work collaboratively with a team of engineers, and great knowledge of electrical components of vehicles. They should also be physically fit, have a keenness in observing all safety precautions, and possess valid certification(s) and Kenya Youth Service (KYS) experience.
