Conduct marketing activities to attract new business from existing and potential clients in both assets and liabilities for the branch.
Monitor accounts and take necessary action to ensure timely repayments and handle delinquent accounts.
Ensure timely completion of security-related tasks.
Set targets for the Branch teams and oversee their performance to ensure the overall business targets are met.
Review credit applications and call reports prepared by the Relationship Officer, providing appropriate recommendations to the approving authorities.
Analyze the daily overrides report and over-the-counter payments, making suitable decisions or recommendations.
Process ad-hoc, additional, new requests, complaints, and excesses, seeking approvals when necessary.
Respond to customer requests and requirements promptly and effectively.
Follow up with customers to ensure compliance with approved account operations and submission of required documents and covenants.
Address audit observations and take necessary action, maintaining communication with clients.
Educate clients on new products, banking regulations, requirements, and industry trends.
Provide feedback to Senior Management on customer requirements, market trends, and product development to meet customer needs.
Ensure high-quality service delivery within prescribed turnaround times, aiming for customer satisfaction and business growth.
Mentor and manage the entire Branch team.
Approve large RTGS, TT, and Fixed deposit initiations as needed.
Provide oversight of Branch operations duties and actions. Person Specifications:
Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Management, or Accounting from a recognized institution.
Master’s degree in Business Administration or its equivalent from a recognized institution is a plus.
Chartered Institute of Marketing diploma (CIM).
Membership in the Associate of Kenya Institute of Bankers (AKIB) or an equivalent professional body.
Proficiency in writing complex letters, comprehensive reports, and performing complex calculations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong people management skills.
