Our client is a global market leader in the logistics industry, and they are currently seeking a Business Development Executive to promote the firm's value proposition and achieve set revenue targets. The successful candidate will be responsible for enhancing the brand image, selling services, and bringing in new business. The position is based in Nairobi, and the gross salary ranges from Ksh 120k to Ksh 150k.
The Business Development Executive will play a critical role in planning and implementing new business development initiatives, maximizing the company's exposure among targeted prospects, and monitoring revenue generation, profit/expense objectives. They will also be responsible for coordinating market and customer growth and retention rates. The position involves drafting business development plans and budgets, developing and leveraging constructive relationships within target accounts to gain access to key decision-makers and establish a coach network.
The successful candidate will prospect for new business development opportunities through market research, developing marketing initiatives, and presenting solution proposals and business fit to decision-makers. They will work closely with internal functions that support the sales process and customer operations teams to ensure quality and improve performance. The Business Development Executive will also be responsible for identifying key trends and developments impacting the business and identifying change needs in business development plans.
To be considered for the role, candidates must have a Bachelor's degree in Business Management, Marketing, or a related field, with a minimum of five years' experience in a Business Development role. Candidates must have a background in logistics, and experience working for a multinational is an added advantage. The successful candidate must be able to develop effective relationships, focus on the needs of customers, identify issues, problems & opportunities, and generate enthusiasm while maintaining a positive attitude to change.
