Our client, an establishment that offers fine dining with a focus on conservation by serving up a nature-inspired breakfast, lunch, and drive menu, is seeking to hire a well-experienced Chef de Partie. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting the culinary team in creating memorable meals for the restaurant's patrons. You will have a specific section of the kitchen to manage, ensuring the preparation of high-quality food that meets the head chef's standards while maintaining a sanitary and well-stocked station.
Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the head chef's specifications.
Manage and train commis.
Ensure that the kitchen brigades adhere to high standards of food hygiene and follow health and safety regulations.
Monitor portion control and waste to maintain profit margins.
Collaborate with colleagues to plan and execute menus.
Ensure an adequate supply of ingredients at all times.
Manage ingredients that should be readily available on a daily basis.
Suggest new ways of presenting dishes.
Propose new rules and procedures to optimize the cooking process.
Pay attention to kitchen productivity, including speed and food quality.
Take overall responsibility for the kitchen's daily operations. Qualifications:
Proven 4 years of experience in a Chef de Partie role.
Culinary school diploma.
Excellent knowledge and use of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and processes.
Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
Strong time management skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Knowledge of best and latest cooking practices.
