Our client, a leading Aquaculture company in Nyanza, Kenya, is currently seeking a Construction Engineer who will manage, design, develop, create and maintain construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting on-site investigations and analyzing data, assessing potential risks, materials, and costs. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and at least 6+ years of experience in construction projects.
The Construction Engineer will be responsible for managing small-scale to large-scale construction projects in a safe, timely, and sustainable manner. This will involve conducting on-site investigations, analyzing data such as maps, reports, tests, and drawings, and carrying out technical and feasibility studies. They will also draw up blueprints that satisfy technical specifications, assess potential risks, materials and costs, and provide advice to resolve any emerging problems or deficiencies. The Construction Engineer will be required to monitor progress and compile reports on project status, manage budgets, and purchase equipment/materials.
The successful candidate must possess a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering and at least 6+ years of experience in construction projects. They should have proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Civil 3D, and design skills, and be experienced in handling BOQs and project planning. The candidate should possess project management and supervision skills, as well as planning and organization skills, with the ability to independently prioritize tasks.
