Our client, a multinational insurance company based in Nairobi, is looking for a Customer Service Representative to assess and process incoming non-medical claims. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing claims, working with multiple parties, and ensuring that claims are processed correctly and completely. The role requires fluency in English, and knowledge of French, Dutch, or German would be a plus.
As a CSR, the candidate will be supported by the people manager, a technical expert, and fellow team members. The ideal candidate will have an administrative financial background and customer service experience. Insurance or accounting experience would be a plus, as it is a front-office role.
The daily tasks for the role include assessing and processing incoming claims based on policy conditions, managing the working-incapacity overviews of insured organizations (clients), filling out data about claims accurately and reporting it to the necessary parties, and answering general questions about policy conditions via email and phone in multiple languages.
The candidate should hold a bachelor's degree or higher in a related field (finance, insurance, communication), or equivalent experience, and possess excellent customer service and analytical skills. They should be detail-oriented, results-oriented, and analytical. Additionally, the candidate should be able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
The successful candidate will need to have a quality over quantity attitude and should be organized with the information. The role requires proficiency in the Office package (Word, Excel, Outlook).
