The Data Entry and Analyst Clerk will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of accounting and financial data by collating and inputting data into the relevant company software. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Accountant or any other person in a position of authority regarding their duties.
The key responsibilities of this role include analyzing large and complex data sets of the accounting and finance department, communicating analytical findings to non-technical audiences in a clear and concise manner, and collecting raw data from various sources and processing them into meaningful information for the purposes of finance and accounting. The Data Entry and Analyst Clerk will be responsible for cleaning, organizing, and formatting raw data to ensure that it is suitable for analysis. Additionally, they will create reports and dashboards that are accurate, insightful, and easy to understand, with a focus on delivering actionable insights to the senior accountant.
Other key responsibilities include ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of the data in the reports, staying up to date with the latest data acquisition and preparation techniques, and carrying out any other responsibility assigned by the Senior Accountant or management.
The successful candidate will be required to interact with various internal and external stakeholders, including the Director of Operations, Sales attendants, Human Resources, relevant key suppliers, government officials, external auditors, and banks. They will use equipment such as a computer, wrap and board system, Sapama system, and calculator.
The candidate should have a Degree in Statistics and a CPA (K), ACCA or its equivalent, with knowledge of accounting principles and procedures including IFRS and IASs. They should also be a member of ICPAK in good standing, have at least 5 years’ relevant experience, and be proficient in computerized accounting systems such as Sage and QuickBooks. Experience working in the retail industry, such as supermarkets, distributors, and hardware stores, and demonstrated experience with preparing budgets and forecasts are also required.
