Our client, an established distribution company, is seeking to hire a Marketing & Sales Analyst who will be responsible for ensuring the quality and timely sourcing and pricing of commodities in a cost-effective manner, while adhering to company policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
Analytical Sales and Sourcing Approach:
Understand economic factors impacting the demand and supply of commodities.
Analyze import data to identify market trends, including origins, pricing, local logistics, and lead times.
Gather market information from the sales team.
Identify global and local market trends by analyzing raw material costs and their impact on sourcing.
Assist in solving qualitative and quantitative sourcing issues.
Provide management with reports comparing factors affecting prices and product profitability.
Maintain direct contact with headquarters regarding sourcing-related issues, GIT updates, and strategies to improve lead times from origin.
Develop forecast plans for all products based on historical data and global trends.
Costing:
Develop pricing strategies to minimize losses and maximize profits, considering factors such as interest rates and foreign exchange.
Create cost structures/templates to understand how the business can achieve desired results.
Develop budget forecasts.
Analyze product costs and recommend changes. Import and Export Support:
Plan, document, and process import costs.
Plan, document, and process export costs.
Provide sales support for exports and back-to-back orders.
ERP Implementation Support (Optional):
Experience with Microsoft 365 Dynamics.
Assist in validating business requirements for supply chain management and finance.
Support supply chain process optimization.
Conduct User Acceptance Testing for supply chain, inventory management, warehouse management, and finance topics.
Provide requirements for Business Intelligence reports to optimize supply chain and procurement processes. Key Qualifications:
Degree/Diploma in Business Management, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or a relevant field.
Over 4 years of experience in a similar or related role.
Preferably have experience in manufacturing/FMCG.
Experience working as a demand planner or in a similar role.
Demonstrated knowledge of demand planning philosophies, processes, and a proven track record.
Proficient in Advanced Excel and ERP systems.
Familiarity with import and export processes, documentation, and costings is a plus.
Knowledge of commodity pricing and demand.
Strong data gathering and analysis skills.
Understanding of market survey processes.
Knowledge of import regulations, purchasing principles, and practices.
Familiarity with local laws, regulations, and policies governing imports and exports.
Ability to organize receipts, documents, and information from multiple sources.
Systematic and methodological thinking.
Commercial acumen.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
