Summary:
We are seeking an Environmental Health and Safety Manager to play a crucial role in cultivating a positive work environment. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure compliance with occupational health and safety guidelines and regulations, as well as to train employees on safety policies and practices to maintain a safe workplace.

Ensure adherence to and regular review, update, and communication of all Health & Safety policies, procedures, rules, and regulations.

Ensure the company meets all statutory obligations and compliance requirements related to health, safety, and welfare at work, including training and reporting.

Conduct and regularly review risk assessments for work equipment and operations, and update the site's Hazard Identification and Risk Assessment (HIRA).

Document and investigate all accidents, and implement recommended improvements.

Oversee safety inspections, fire drills, and fire alarm reporting. Manage safety inspections, risk assessments, and procedures for lone working, while ensuring employees are aware of their responsibilities.

Coordinate the development of health and safety policies, work systems, and procedures.

Maintain accurate health and safety records, including training records.

Establish a comprehensive program of documented health and safety inspections, audits, and checks.

Implement a structured program of health and safety training throughout the company.
Collaborate with external health and safety consultants to provide training programs and services.
Manage and organize Health & Safety Committee meetings, including agenda formulation, chairing, and distribution of minutes. Ensure timely completion of all action points.
Stay up to date with relevant health, safety, and welfare legislation, and communicate any changes to the organization.
Provide regular reports on health and safety activities to the Human Resources Manager and Senior Management Team.
Attend monthly meetings to report on relevant health and safety matters.
Supply personal protective equipment (PPE) to employees exposed to hazards.
Maintain a safe workplace environment that minimizes health risks.
Uphold high standards of housekeeping throughout the organization.
Standardize all Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) matters across all Cargen branches.
Stay informed about changes in health and safety regulations, and promptly communicate precautionary measures and documentation processes to employees to mitigate risks. Education and Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Environmental Safety, Occupational Safety and Health, or a related field.
Preferred minimum of five years of related experience.
Exposure to handling EHS in the automotive or manufacturing industry.
Must demonstrate a high level of integrity.
Strong understanding of modern management skills and tactics. Requirements:
Extensive knowledge of environmental regulations and policies.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar software.
