Our client, a dynamic Forex Bureau in Nairobi is seeking to recruit Tellers to assist in the daily operations of their respective branches. The position requires a mature person with excellent administration and customer service skills. The successful candidates Must have at least 2 years’ experience working in a financial institution. Punjabi/ Gujarati/ Hindi /Islamic speaking candidates will have an added advantage.
The Tellers will be responsible for answering all customer inquiries and processing all customer transactions. They will also inform customers on other products that the forex offers. The Tellers will need to track, record, report, and store information related to transactions. They will also be responsible for maintaining and balancing cash drawers and reconciling discrepancies. Additionally, the Tellers will need to keep a clean and organized work area and maintain a professional appearance. They will also be handling confidential information in a responsible manner. The Tellers will be assigned other duties as necessary.
To be considered for this position, applicants must have 2 years relevant working experience in the banking/financial sector, a high school certificate, and be honest and reliable. They should also be aggressive with good networking skills and a good team player. Knowledge of Punjabi and Hindi languages is an added advantage. Applicants should have the ability to work under pressure with minimum supervision, enjoy working with numbers, have strong organizational and planning skills, and possess strong ethical and legal decision making. Flexibility to adapt to changes in priorities is also required.
The monthly gross salary for this position ranges from Ksh. 40,000 - 50,000 (depending on skills and experience). This is a mid-level position located in Nairobi, Kenya. The application deadline is 21st April 2023.
