We are seeking an Interior Designer with a keen eye for design and a passion for creating practical and visually pleasing spaces. As the Interior Designer, you will be responsible for handling design projects from conceptual development, liaising with stakeholders, and managing and executing designs.
Responsibilities of the Interior Designer include undertaking design projects from concept to completion, defining project requirements and schedules during the "brief," interpreting and translating customer needs into rough plans, setting costs and project fees according to budget, researching and deciding on materials and product sourcing, producing "sample" and "mood products," supervising work progress, and working closely with designers, decorators, architects, and constructors. Additionally, the Interior Designer must research and follow industry changes, evolutions, and best practices.
To qualify for this position, candidates must have proven working experience in decorating interior spaces, including consultations, renovations, space planning, and new constructions. They must have expertise in layout, color, lighting, materials selection, custom furniture, and all installations. Additionally, candidates must be proficient in AutoCAD, SketchUp, 3D Max, Illustrator, or other design programs and have an excellent portfolio of previous works. They must possess creative talent, imagination, and an eye for design, as well as excellent communication and presentation skills and project management skills. A BS degree in Interior Design or a similar field is also required.
