Our client, Mosha Integrated Investment Company, is a natural building blocks production and marketing business based in Arusha, Tanzania. The company operates various machinery, including stone cutting, loading, and excavating machinery. They are currently seeking to hire an experienced Manager who has worked in a building blocks business and supervised all operations.
The Manager's primary responsibility will be to enhance the productivity of the business by ensuring sound repair and maintenance of production equipment. The Manager will have the following duties:
Repair and maintenance of stone cutting, loading, and excavation machinery.
Plan operations to ensure all operations run smoothly.
Work with the sales team to ensure customer orders are produced on time and to customer specifications.
Supervise ground clearing operations, including excavation, cutting, storage, and dumping.
Issue fuel to machine operators and ensure optimum use of fuel.
Hire and allocate duties to cutting and ground clearance teams.
Ensure high standards of safety for staff, machines, and equipment.
To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate should have extensive experience in quarrying operations in a well-established building materials production company. They should have a Diploma in Mechanical Engineering and two years of experience in maintenance of stone cutting and heavy excavation and earth moving machinery. Candidates with a Mechanical Engineering Degree will have an added advantage.
