This job description is for a position that supports a business's transformation into a world-class sourcing organization. The primary responsibility of this position is to maintain strong business relationships and execute business strategies at the operational level through core sourcing competencies. The role involves fulfilling pre-production and production elements of an assigned product category and supporting the Senior Merchandiser and Merchandising Manager in meeting all business goals and objectives.
Key responsibilities of this position include serving as a key liaison for day-to-day global sourcing operations and working effectively with cross-functional partners across the globe. The candidate is expected to follow up the daily production of the factory to ensure that they achieve the plan shared with the business. They are also expected to understand all TCP processes, systems, and expectations, as well as adopt a robust process to understand the root cause of issues and work on corrective action plans with factories.
Additionally, the candidate will maintain a seasonal production calendar to ensure deadlines are met and will communicate with overseas offices regarding requested costing options. They will also resolve quality and purchase order fulfillment issues, manage supplier terms and conditions, and assist the Senior Merchandiser and Merchandising Manager on any necessary tasks required.
The ideal candidate for this position should be detail-oriented, able to work independently, build cross-functional relationships, and interact with all levels within the organization. They should have experience working in a fast-paced environment and possess strong planning and organizational skills. The candidate should have a diploma or above credential in Fashion Design, Clothing/Textiles, or related disciplines, with two years of related experience. They should be proficient in Microsoft Office applications and have good command of both verbal and written English skills and the local language. Retail industry experience is preferred.
