Planet is seeking a HR Generalist to join its EMEA People team, with a focus on supporting the company's growing entity in the Netherlands. As the first local HR person, the candidate will play a critical role in building and maintaining local HR operations processes, ensuring the team is set up for long-term success. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work with passionate individuals from diverse backgrounds and contribute to shaping Planet's future.
The HR Generalist will work closely with the EMEA People Business Partners and People Operations Partner based in Berlin and the local business operation team. They will be responsible for being the People Team representative in the Netherlands and the local Planet culture ambassador, addressing all types of HR-related questions, building trust with teams, and staying informed about changes in local regulations to ensure compliance. The role will also require the preparation of monthly Dutch payroll, coordination with external payroll consultants, and assisting in revisiting/defining local benefits.
The successful candidate will bring at least 4-6 years of HR Operations/Generalist experience in the Netherlands, ideally in growing tech companies, and an advanced knowledge of Dutch employment and social laws, having worked with Work Councils. Fluency in Dutch and English is required, as well as a curious, resourceful, and eager-to-learn attitude. The candidate should have a collaborative work style, be comfortable working with multiple different stakeholders at the same time, and ideally be available full-time, although part-time (80% minimum) is also an option.
Once the basics are covered, there will be plenty of opportunities for the HR Generalist to grow and take on additional projects, both local and global, as Planet continues to expand. Ideal candidates will have experience working in a global environment, setting up a Dutch Work Council, and involvement in a merger and acquisition process. The role will be based onsite for three days a week.
