The company is currently seeking a Processing Supervisor located in Homabay to join its operations team. Reporting to the Processing Manager, the successful candidate will play a critical role in overseeing the daily operations of the processing team. They will be responsible for ensuring that all processing activities comply with the company's policies and regulations while meeting or exceeding all processing targets.
The Processing Supervisor will collaborate with the Processing Foremen to achieve the highest standards of quality and efficiency in the processing plant. They will monitor all processing operations to ensure they meet the required safety, quality, and environmental standards. The supervisor will also train and supervise processing staff, ensuring that all employees, including casuals, are properly trained and follow safety procedures.
Other responsibilities include maintaining accurate records of all processing activities, identifying areas for improvement in the processing plant, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives, ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained and serviced, and managing and prioritizing multiple projects and tasks simultaneously. The supervisor will also collaborate with other crucial departments such as Quality Assurance to ensure that all production activities are aligned with the company's goals and objectives.
The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory role in a food processing or manufacturing environment, preferably in fish processing. A bachelor's or diploma in a related field is preferred, with strong knowledge of fish processing techniques being a plus. The candidate should also have excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills, the ability to work independently and in a team environment, strong organizational and time management skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities. The candidate must be able to lift 30kg and stand for long periods. The position is full-time, with competitive pay based on experience, and benefits and vacation included.
