Job Title: Project Cost Controller (Safari Company) - Nairobi, Kenya
Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled and proactive Project Cost Controller to join our team at a Hospitality group based in Nairobi. As the Project Cost Controller, you will play a crucial role in preparing cost estimates, project budgets, and implementing cost control measures. Working closely with the Projects Director and supporting the Project Management Office, you will ensure that projects are executed successfully within the allocated budget.
Key Responsibilities:
Prepare accurate cost estimates for projects during the Conceptual and Design Development stages, using Order of Magnitude and Area Based documents.
Create comprehensive Bill of Quantities for related projects, ensuring high levels of accuracy and quality.
Collaborate effectively with teams of Architects, Engineers, Interior Designers, Procurement Companies, Project Managers, and other project professionals.
Develop and structure budgets, and generate cash-flow forecasts.
Control, track, and report on project budgets.
Forecast and prepare budget reports.
Present Cost Reports in a general project professionals forum.
Manage tenders and requests for quotations related to cost packages and provisional cost sums.
Implement, manage, and track Cost Control measures.
Foster collaboration and integration with the group accounts department to establish necessary systems.
Analyze and execute cost comparisons. Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or above in Quantity Survey or a related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience working as a Quantity Surveyor.
Proficiency in preparing cost estimates for projects in the Conceptual and Design development stages.
Strong expertise in creating accurate Bill of Quantities for related projects.
Experience in generating budgets and cash-flow forecasts.
Proven track record in budget control and cost reporting.
Understanding and practice of project cost control measures.
Advantageous to have experience in Hospitality and Tourism-related projects.
Monthly Gross Salary: Ksh 130,000 to 180,000
