This job is for a member of a Project Team who will report to the Project Manager and be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and assisting in project management, engineering construction, and commissioning on-site aspects of projects, ensuring quality execution of the same. The position requires participation in feasibility studies, implementation of project control systems, production of accurate progress schedules and reports, and comprehensive project material takeoffs. The successful candidate will also work with Engineering consultants to ensure adequate Engineering support, monitor and track project capital costs, and work in conjunction with other stakeholders to ensure KPIs and other targets are met.
To succeed in this position, the candidate will require a Bachelor of Science Degree in Mechanical/Electrical or Civil Engineering and a minimum of five years' experience in a project work leadership or supervisory role. The candidate should also be familiar with CAD design software such as Autodesk/Navisworks and have knowledge of Pumping systems, Piping and Instrumentation systems, and their respective drawings.
The ideal candidate should have experience in QA/QC procedures followed during procurement, manufacturing, construction, and commissioning, working with and/or supervising sub-contractors, preconstruction planning, and look ahead schedules with skills in MS-Projects scheduling. They should also have a good understanding of workplace safety, Health and Environmental procedures and be able to work in a challenging environment with a multinational workforce. A valid driver's license will be an added advantage, and the candidate should have a 'Can Do' attitude.
