This job is for a Receptionist/Front office role located in Kamulu, offering a salary range of 30,000 – 40,000. The ideal candidate will be responsible for carrying out various administrative and clerical tasks such as providing support to management, staff, and parents, and managing the school’s general administrative activities. The goal is to ensure that the administrative activities run smoothly on a daily and long-term basis.
Some of the responsibilities of the job include overseeing, coordinating and performing day-to-day school administrative functions, preparing and maintaining student records, providing secretarial/administrative assistance to the Head of School and the Deputies, managing the reception area and directing visitors and parents as required, attending school meetings and taking minutes of meetings, handling incoming and outgoing mail, relaying information to teaching staff and students using various mediums, maintaining student attendance records and student enrollment, providing support to new teachers and support staff, among others.
The ideal candidate should have a Diploma/Bachelor's Degree in Business Management/ Secretarial Studies from a recognized institution, with at least 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a school setting. Additionally, the candidate should be computer literate and able to use various Microsoft programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
The desired competencies and attributes include good communication skills (both verbal and written), organizational skills, excellent customer service skills, good time management skills, and the ability to prioritize work, among others.
