Our client, a milling company that produces a popular Flour Brand in Kenya, is currently searching for a Sales and Marketing Executive to join their team. The position entails increasing sales, formulating advertising and marketing strategies, increasing brand awareness, conducting market research, and maintaining relationships with the media and vendors. The successful candidate must have at least 5 years of experience in sales or marketing in the milling sector, particularly in selling or marketing Flour.
The Sales and Marketing Executive will be responsible for planning, developing and implementing effective marketing communication campaigns. This includes conceiving and developing efficient and intuitive marketing strategies, organizing and overseeing advertising/communication campaigns (social media, website, TV etc.), exhibitions, and promotional events. Furthermore, the candidate will be expected to conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures. They will also need to maintain relationships with media vendors and publishers to ensure collaboration in promotional activities. The candidate will collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses.
Responsibilities of the Sales and Marketing Executive also include assisting in the production of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting, with reference to pricing, presentation and promotion. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring effective Marketing & Branding campaigns that enhance the image of the Company and its products. They will liaise and work closely with Account Managers in determining all upcoming and ongoing product rollouts. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to generate detailed data on market segmentation, competitor analysis on pricing, and promotion initiatives to enhance customer loyalty.
The ideal candidate should have a relevant bachelor’s degree and at least 5 years of sales or marketing experience in the milling sector, particularly in selling or marketing Flour. Training in Public Relations is an added advantage, as is proficiency in Sales Software i.e. CRM. Membership of a professional body will also be an added advantage. The candidate should have a good understanding of market research techniques, data analysis, and statistics methods.
