Our client, a leading Micro-finance in Kenya, is looking to hire a Sales Team Leader (Asset Financing) to manage the activities of Junior loan officers, loan officer's and trainees'. The successful candidate will be responsible for administrative tasks, credit evaluation, loan approval and giving recommendations on credit, as well as managing the quality of the Team's portfolio. To be considered for this role, the ideal candidate must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as a Team Leader in Asset financing or Credit Card facility, and be a Certified Specialist in Credit Analysis-Level 1.
As a Sales Team Leader (Asset Financing), the candidate will analyze applicants' financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans. They will act as a liaison between the clients and the company, resolve client-related issues arising and ensure the quality of the team's portfolio. The candidate will also manage teams PAR and prepare reports to send to customers whose accounts are delinquent. Additionally, they will explain to customers the different types of loans and credit options that are available, market company products to individuals and firms, and promote company services that may meet customer's needs.
The Sales Team Leader (Asset Financing) will analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects for loans. They will also coordinate, guide, direct, and motivate subordinates by setting performance standards and monitoring performance, setting specific goals and plans to prioritize, organize and accomplish work. Furthermore, the candidate will liaise with Line Managers to recruit, interview, select, and promote employees.
To qualify for this position, the candidate must have a relevant bachelor's degree and must display good team leading coaching and guiding skills, communication, problem-solving, and report compilation skills. They must also be a Certified Management Professional and a Certified Specialist in Credit Analysis-Level 1. The monthly gross salary for this role is Kes 30000, and it is an entry-level position based in Nairobi. The deadline for applications is 5th May 2023.
