Africa International University – University in Nairobi

Africa International University (AIU) is a private Christian university on Karen-Dagoretti Road in the Karen area of Nairobi. It grew from the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology, founded in 1983 to train church leaders from across Africa, and was chartered as a university in 2011.

AIU offers undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes in theology, biblical studies, missions, education, leadership, business, counselling psychology, community development, peace and conflict studies and information technology. Its student body comes from many African countries and beyond, creating a diverse, international campus community. Teaching combines academic rigour with Christian formation and a focus on serving church and society in Africa.

The leafy Karen campus includes a library with one of the region's strongest theological collections, student housing and dining facilities. Admissions run several intakes a year. Find programmes and how to apply on the AIU website.
