Description
The Agricultural Development Corporation (ADC) is a Kenyan government parastatal established by an Act of Parliament in 1965. It was originally set up to facilitate the transfer of land from European settlers to Kenyans after independence, and today it runs commercial farms and supports agricultural development across the country.
ADC operates large-scale farms producing seed, crops and livestock, including breeding stock for dairy and beef cattle, sheep and goats, and it plays a role in national food security and in the supply of quality planting seed. It works closely with the ministry responsible for agriculture and livestock and with farmers who buy its seed and breeding animals.
The head office is on the 10th floor of Development House, Moi Avenue, in Nairobi, with farms located in several counties.
Farm, product and tender information is on the ADC website.
