Description

Saruni Samburu is a deluxe design lodge in Kenya's wild north, set in the community-owned Kalama Wildlife Conservancy next to Samburu National Reserve. It is part of Saruni Basecamp and has achieved iconic status for its setting and the way Samburu culture and community conservation are woven into the safari experience.

As the pioneer safari lodge in Kalama, Saruni Samburu paved the way for community-centred ecotourism in northern Kenya. It has just six guest villas with sweeping views over the landscapes of the north, and the family villa has its own parking area.

Villas include complimentary Wi-Fi, indoor and outdoor showers, some indoor baths, an in-room fridge and water dispenser, and private living areas. The lodge has two swimming pools with a sunbathing area and pool bar, and the Samburu Wellbeing Space offers back, neck, body and foot massages.

Guests can explore both Kalama and the Samburu National Reserve, known for its elephants. Rates and bookings are on the Saruni Samburu page.
