Description

Kamwenja Teachers' College is a teacher training college in Nyeri County, set among the highland views of the central region. It has been a centre of teacher education since 1924, when it was founded by Bishop Perlo and a team of missionaries to train teachers for local mission schools.

The college was officially named Kamwenja Teachers' College in 1938, and in 1958 its management was taken over by the Christian Brothers. Over the decades it became a hub for educational leadership in the region. Today it blends academic training with creativity, innovation and strong moral values, and it works with the Ministry of Education, the Teachers Service Commission, KUCCPS, KICD and KNEC.
