Embu Teacher Training College – Teachers College in Embu

Embu Teacher Training College (Embu TTC) is a teacher training college on Kanjuru Road in Manyatta, Embu. It builds on the academic heritage of Embu College, which has offered tertiary education in Embu since 1995, with a sharp focus on preparing teachers for schools across Kenya.

The college offers competency-based diploma programmes in teacher education, including Primary Teacher Education for teaching Grades 1 to 6. Its curriculum is aligned with the Ministry of Education and KNEC standards, and training balances theory with practice. Trainees learn from experienced educators, many of them examiners and former classroom teachers, use ICT and an e-learning platform, and go on teaching practice in local schools through the college's practicum network.
