AA Lodge Amboseli – Safari Lodge in Amboseli

AA Lodge Amboseli is one of two safari properties run by the AA Lodges brand, the other being in the Maasai Mara. The lodge stands just off the Emali–Loitoktok tarmac road, roughly 2 to 4 km from Kimana Gate, so game drives into Amboseli National Park can start early and end late. On a clear day Mount Kilimanjaro fills the skyline.

Accommodation is split between 24 cottages, 33 permanent safari tents and 7 superior rooms, which suits couples, families and tour groups. Back at camp there is a multi-cuisine restaurant, an African-themed bar, an outdoor swimming pool, spa and wellness treatments, sundowner cocktails and a bonfire area in the evening. Maasai dance performances are also part of the guest programme.

The drive from Nairobi takes about four and a half to five hours, and the Amboseli airstrip is about 16 km away.
