Akina Ties is a crisis accommodation shelter located in Kisii, Western Kenya, providing a safe haven for children and women who have been abandoned and/or affected by sexual and domestic violence. The shelter is staffed with trained professionals who are committed to providing a safe and nurturing environment for those who seek refuge. We understand the challenges that vulnerable members of our community face, including poverty, lack of education, and social stigma. Therefore, we provide support services such as counseling, healthcare, education, and skills training to help survivors rebuild their lives and regain their independence. Our ultimate goal is to empower survivors and equip them with the tools they need to live meaningful and fulfilling lives free from violence and abuse. We work closely with the community and other stakeholders to raise awareness about the issue of domestic and sexual violence and advocate for policies and practices that protect the vulnerable in our society. We are committed to creating a safe and inclusive environment for all members of our community.
