Alupe University – University in Busia

Alupe University is a public university located at Alupe, just outside Busia town near the Kenya-Uganda border in western Kenya. It started as Alupe University College, a constituent college of Moi University, and was awarded its own charter to become a fully fledged university, serving students from Busia, the wider western region and neighbouring countries.

The university offers certificate, diploma, bachelor's and postgraduate programmes across schools covering medicine and health sciences, education and social sciences, business and economics, and science and technology. Its campus includes lecture halls, laboratories, a library and student facilities, and it works with local hospitals and schools to provide practical training for its students.

Government-sponsored students are placed through KUCCPS, while self-sponsored students can apply directly through the admissions office. Course details, intakes and the student portal are available on the Alupe University website.
