Chuka University – University in Tharaka Nithi

Chuka University is a public university in Chuka town, Tharaka Nithi County, on the eastern slopes of Mount Kenya. It began in 2004 as Egerton University's Eastern Campus College, became Chuka University College in 2007 and was awarded a full charter in 2013.

The university offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in fields such as agriculture, education, business, science and technology, health sciences, humanities and law. Its campus includes lecture halls, laboratories, a library and a university farm used for training and research.
