Embu Level 5 Hospital – Referral Hospital in Embu

Embu Level 5 Hospital is the main public referral hospital of Embu County, located on the Embu–Nairobi highway opposite the Izaak Walton Hotel in Embu town. It is run by the County Government of Embu and receives patients from across the county and neighbouring areas.

Medical services include outpatient and inpatient care, paediatrics, an intensive care unit and high dependency unit, obstetrics and gynaecology, physiotherapy, dentistry and orthodontics, and a pharmacy. The surgical department covers general, orthopaedic, paediatric, neurosurgery and oral and maxillofacial surgery.

Diagnostic services include a medical laboratory, X-ray and ultrasound. The hospital also runs special clinics on set days and supports education and training for health workers.
