Description

Hemingways River Camp Mara is an intimate under-canvas safari camp on the Njageteck River in the Mara North Conservancy, one of the most wildlife-rich corners of the greater Maasai Mara. It was built by third-generation conservationist Richard Roberts and his wife Liz, and their approach of privacy and personal service continues under the Hemingways Collection.

The camp has just eight tents: six luxury tents in classic safari style, one family suite and one private suite, the last two with several bedrooms, a private lounge and dedicated staff, which suits families and small groups. From the verandas guests may watch elephants at the springs or hear lions at night.

Days are spent tracking big cats with expert guides, followed by meals under the stars and stories by the fire. As a conservancy camp, it offers lower vehicle numbers than the main reserve.

Tent details and reservations are on the Hemingways River Camp Mara page.
