Jumuia Hospital Kakamega is part of Jumuia Hospitals, an integrated healthcare initiative of the National Council of Churches of Kenya (NCCK), a faith-based, multicultural and multi-denominational Christian organisation. The network is headquartered in Nairobi and also runs Jumuia Friends Hospital in Kaimosi, Vihiga County, and a hospital in Huruma.

The Kakamega hospital is on the Kakamega–Kisumu road and is open 24 hours.
