Description
The Kenya School of TVET (KSTVET), formerly the Kenya Technical Trainers College (KTTC), is a public institution in Nairobi that trains teachers and instructors for Kenya's technical and vocational education and training (TVET) sector. It was set up in 1978 to train technically skilled personnel to teach in technical institutions and to work in all sectors of the economy.
Since then the school has expanded its programmes, staff and facilities and has become a centre of excellence for technical teacher education. It has nine academic departments, including computer studies, business studies, education, electrical and mechanical engineering, health and applied sciences, and hospitality and institutional management, and it runs a Diploma in Technical Training Instructor course alongside continuous professional development (CPD) programmes.
KSTVET also has a campus at Moiben in Uasin Gishu County, about 30 kilometres from Eldoret.
The school can be reached on 0707 444 222 or 0786 444 600, or by email at info@kstvet.ac.ke. Intakes, courses and the student portal are on the Kenya School of TVET website.
