Description

Kianda School is a private, top-performing day school for girls on Kabarsiran Avenue, off Waiyaki Way and opposite the Communications Authority in Nairobi. It was established in 1977 by the Kianda Foundation, after many past students of the earlier Kianda College, described as the first multiracial college in Africa, asked for a school where their daughters could get the same personal attention.

The school has primary, junior and secondary sections and the first Form 4 class graduated in 1980. Its motto is "In Opere et Veritate" (In Deed and in Truth), and the education follows a Catholic ethos, with spiritual formation offered alongside academics, sport, clubs and leadership activities. Mentoring of each girl is a central part of the model, and the school runs scholarship programmes.

The admissions process, fee information, uniform and transport details are published online.
