Maasai Mara University

Maasai Mara University is a public university in Narok town, Narok County, about 150 km south-west of Nairobi near the gateway to the Maasai Mara National Reserve. It received its charter in 2013 and offers certificate, diploma, undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes.

Teaching is organised in seven academic schools: Business and Economics; Education; Health Sciences; Pure and Applied Sciences; Tourism and Hospitality; Arts, Humanities, Social Sciences and Creative Industries; and Natural Resources, Environmental Studies and Agriculture. The university also runs a TVET institute, open and distance e-learning, student hostels booked online, and an African medicinal botanical garden on campus. Its setting gives tourism, wildlife and environmental studies a natural edge.
