Description

Matira Bushcamp is a tented safari camp in the Maasai Mara in Narok County, presenting itself as a place where wilderness meets tranquil luxury. The camp is part of Matira Safari and is designed as a base for exploring the reserve and its surroundings.

The Maasai Mara National Reserve is famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, often called one of the new wonders of the world, when over 1.5 million wildebeest, zebras and gazelles cross its plains each year. Beyond the migration, the Mara is home to the Big Five of lion, elephant, rhino, leopard and buffalo, along with cheetah, giraffe, hippo and many bird species.

Guests stay in safari tents set among trees, and the camp arranges game drives, cultural visits to Maasai communities and other safari experiences with its own guides. Matira also offers safari packages that combine the Mara with other Kenyan parks.

Rates, packages and booking details are on the Matira Bushcamp website.
