Samatian Island Lodge – Lodge in Lake Baringo

Samatian Island Lodge is a small, exclusive lodge on a private island in Lake Baringo, in Kenya's Great Rift Valley. It has sweeping views across the lake to the imposing backdrop of the Laikipia Escarpment and makes an intimate getaway for families and groups.

Every booking reserves the whole island exclusively for one party, and guests can choose between self-catering and full-board stays. The main mess has a lounge, a large dining table, a bar and sun loungers, and a new swimming pool is the latest addition to the island.

The beauty of Baringo is legendary, with spectacular sunsets, a dazzling array of birdlife and the Njemps fishermen who continue a traditional way of life on the lake.
