Description

Salt Lick Safari Lodge has for decades been one of Kenya's flagship lodges, famed as one of the world's most photographed lodges. It is set in the heart of the Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary in Taita Taveta County, overlooking a waterhole and the vast Tsavo plains.

The lodge has 96 unique rooms, all elevated on stilts and built across two levels, with en-suite bathrooms with showers and hot and cold running water. Rooms can be set up as double, twin or triple.

Bura Restaurant, the main restaurant, seats 150 and overlooks the waterholes, serving buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner with live cooking counters and Pan-African, Pan-European and Pan-Asian dishes. Above it, Vuria Bar Lounge and its shaded terrace look out over the main waterhole, so guests can watch wildlife over a cocktail or coffee. Bush breakfasts, "Out of Africa" dinners and picnic hampers can be arranged, and the Afya Bora Spa offers soothing treatments.

The lodge welcomes children aged five and above. Rooms and offers are on the Salt Lick Safari Lodge website.
