Tropic Air Kenya

Tropic Air is an air charter company based at Nanyuki Airfield in Laikipia, in the shadow of Mount Kenya and just south of the Equator. Founded and managed by Kenya-born pilot Jamie Roberts, it has 28 years of experience flying across East Africa.

The company offers private fixed-wing flights and helicopter services, including transfers to safari lodges and conservancies, scenic and adventure flights, and multi-day helicopter safaris to places such as Lake Turkana, the Suguta Valley and the northern Kenyan deserts. With a team of about ten pilots, it keeps a personal, friendly approach to flying.

Tropic Air set up at Nanyuki Airfield in the early 1990s and has developed much of the airfield's infrastructure since then. The base is along the Nanyuki-Rumuruti Road.
