USIU-Africa – University in Nairobi

United States International University-Africa (USIU-Africa) is a private, chartered university on a green campus off Thika Road in Kasarani, Nairobi. Established in 1969, it is accredited by Kenya's Commission for University Education and also holds accreditation in the United States, which gives its degrees international recognition.

The university is organised into schools covering business, science and technology, humanities and social sciences, communication and pharmacy and health sciences, offering undergraduate, master's and doctoral programmes. Its student body is unusually diverse, with learners from dozens of countries, and teaching is in English with a strong focus on leadership and entrepreneurship. Facilities include a modern library, sports grounds and the Freida Brown Student Centre.
